STRAGARDALAKE: OVER 3,000 RUNNERS AT THE START TOMORROW!
Record numbers for the first Desenzano del Garda Half Marathon
A journey combining fun and local culture
Desenzano del Garda is ready to welcome the big STRAGARDALAKE festival. Tomorrow, Sunday, January 11, over 3,000 runners from 19 countries will gather on the lakefront for an event that, already in its first edition, is setting records and has an immediate international reach.
The Half Marathon is scheduled to start at 9:00 a.m., the 10K at 9:10 a.m., and the 5K Urban at 9:15 a.m.
The STRAGARDALAKE weekend officially began today, Saturday, January 10. Desenzano came alive with hundreds of athletes arriving to pick up their race bibs and race packs and soak up the atmosphere of an event that combines sport, local culture, and fun.

Recognized as an official FIDAL race for the competitive 21 km and 10 km events, Stragardalake offers three routes—21 km, 10 km, and 5 km Urban—designed to engage athletes, enthusiasts, and walkers, sharing emotions and landscapes in a weekend dedicated to movement and the local area.
Inside the race pack, participants found numerous products from the event’s partners: a bag created in collaboration with Tomasi Auto, a technical shirt by Repetita, sports products by Named Sport, along with Ambrosoli sweets and Blistex lip care products.

SPORT, MUSIC, AND LAKE GARDA
STRAGARDALAKE is not just a race, but a true celebration of sport and the local area. Along the routes and in the finish area, Food & Music zones will entertain athletes and spectators with live music, entertainment, and traditional local flavors, transforming the event into an experience to be enjoyed and shared.
The 10 km and 21 km routes reveal the soul of Lake Garda, alternating between natural views and iconic landscapes. The start on the lakefront leads runners towards the Garda hinterland, among morainic hills and Lugana vineyards, offering a sporting experience immersed in the territory.
The Half Marathon continues to one of the most representative symbols of the area: the Tower of San Martino, an iconic point along the entire route. The return to Desenzano offers one of the most evocative moments of the race, with the last 3 km along the lakeside promenade.
The 5 km Urban race is the ideal route for those who want to experience Desenzano in an active and engaging way. After starting on the lakefront, the route crosses Piazza Matteotti and Piazza Malvezzi, climbs towards Desenzano Castle and Piazza Garibaldi, then descends towards the Duomo, Via Roma and the Roman Villa, before returning to the lakefront for the final finish line.

WE LOOK FORWARD TO SEEING YOU TOMORROW AT THE START OF THE STRAGARDALAKE!
