The Stragardalake 19 offers a unique experience, starting and finishing on the beautiful lakeside promenade of Desenzano del Garda, right in front of Piazza Matteotti, in the heart of this charming town overlooking Lake Garda.

After less than one kilometre, a short but punchy climb takes us inland, through the renowned Lugana vineyards, where nature, history, and tranquillity blend in perfect harmony.

We then continue through the heart of the Moraine Hills, following roads that witnessed one of the fiercest battles of the Second Italian War of Independence on 24 June 1859. At the junction, our route turns left, while the 21 km course continues straight ahead.

Shortly afterwards, at around km 8, we reach one of the area’s most iconic landmarks: the majestic Tower of San Martino, a monument dedicated to those who fought and gave their lives for the unification of Italy. Its striking silhouette will accompany us until km 11, offering one of the most memorable views along the course.

After passing the halfway point, the reward for the effort begins to unfold as we head back towards Desenzano, skirting the border with Sirmione, where the Food & Music Point awaits. From there, it’s time to enjoy the final 3.3 km along the spectacular lakeside promenade, right beside the waters of Lake Garda.

The route passes through the Port of Rivoltella, alongside the beautiful Spiaggia d’Oro (Golden Beach) and the Idroscalo Park, before crossing the finish line beneath the finishing arch, exactly where the journey began, surrounded by the beauty of Desenzano del Garda’s historic centre.
