STRAGARDALAKE: A DEBUT WITH 3,000 RUNNERS AT THE START
The first Desenzano del Garda Half Marathon will feature 18 Countries
Participants will run or walk through the territory, enjoying food and music
The Organizing Committee, in collaboration with the Municipality of Desenzano del Garda, is preparing to host the first edition of STRAGARDALAKE on January 11, an event that combines territory, sport, and entertainment in a single, great experience.
Even before it begins, the event is already setting records: 3,000 runners have registered, with participants from 18 countries, confirming the immediate international appeal of the event.
Recognized as an official FIDAL race for the 21 km and 10 km competitive distances, Stragardalake offers three routes—21 km, 10 km, and 5 km Urban—designed to engage athletes, enthusiasts, and walkers, sharing emotions and landscapes in a weekend dedicated to movement and the local area.

SPORT, MUSIC, AND LAKE GARDA
Stragardalake is much more than just a race. It is an event designed to be experienced, shared, and remembered, a true celebration of sport and the local area.
Along the routes and in the finish area, the Food & Music areas will accompany the experience with live music, entertainment, and traditional local flavors, transforming every moment into an unforgettable memory!

THE THREE ROUTES
The 10 km and 21 km routes follow a path that captures the essence of Lake Garda. Starting directly on the lakefront, participants are led inland, through the morainic hills and vineyards of Lugana, offering a sporting experience immersed in the landscape.
The Half Marathon continues inland, reaching one of the area’s most symbolic landmarks: the Tower of San Martino, an iconic point along the entire route. The return to Desenzano offers one of the most evocative moments of the race, with the last 3 km along the lakeside promenade.
The 5 km Urban race is dedicated to those who want to experience the heart of Desenzano in an active and engaging way. After starting on the lakefront, the route crosses Piazza Matteotti and Piazza Malvezzi, continues towards Desenzano Castle and Piazza Garibaldi, then descends towards the Duomo, Via Roma, and the Roman Villa, before returning to the lakefront for the final finish line.

WE LOOK FORWARD TO SEEING YOU ON JANUARY 11 AT STRAGARDALAKE!
